To all our highly valued clients and acquaintances:
Hitting the Reset Button and Renewing Your Commitment to
Producing the Results You Most Want to Achieve for 2008
We are fast approaching the end of the first half of 2008. Quick questions for us all?
Are we on track for what we set out to do for this year?
What do we need to do to finish the first half as good as we can?
What do we need to do to get the second half off to a strong start? |
To invest even 5-10 minutes to quickly jot out your responses to these questions can be helpful, to inventory your performance year-to-date and energize your future biz focus.
Some recent news to confirm an opportunity of the times we are in:
- According to recent news, 79% of investors are amenable to another perspective.
- If referred by a trusted friend or colleague, they would value a second opinion.
- Socializing time @ graduations, weddings, corporate events, family reunions, etc
- In one professional association of Financial Advisors, many report 20% growth rates. To what do they attribute that? Getting referrals to people who are past auto-pilot complacent, feel “pain @ the pump” and want to reexamine everything:
- from how their portfolio is structured
- to the ways that they are receiving expeditious service
- to another view on market perspectives.
Are your clients ready to refer? Are they delighted, raving fans? You recently ask them?
Do they know that you are ready, willing and able to open/explore new relationships?
On another note for now? This is a question a colleague recently emailed me this request:
“I know your time is particularly limited and you will see this as - wow, where to begin. However I am not looking to burden you, but just to get a snippet here and there that I can use in my daily life. Something that keeps you going and connected to your core.”
Here is what I basically sent back to him as an immediate e mail response.
“I have a basic vision and plan for the future, as an outline and framework,
that represent my core values that I own and am committed to
from there, I typically invest at one hour per day to feed my heart, mind and soul,
in prep for fighting and living life full tilt, one day at a time
I get and take all the help that I can get, access and afford - I run
for the exits, away from anything and anybody that I experience as a drain
I take time to rest, read, joke around, change environments, make
out of the ordinary phone calls and any other strategy to change it up
I follow the idea that life well-lived is a marathon of sprints and power nap often,
to continuously rejuvenate myself -
I love movies and music
Iris and I are doing walks and I swim for 30 minutes at least 3 times per week –
I work to eat well, stay healthy and have good energy
I keep a central focus on keeping hope, love, laughter and perspective alive –
I stay open - I repeatedly review my best audios/books.
I am determined to persist, no matter what - I intend to go the distance and
work to stay present to the fact that life is a one time shot
hope that helps you in some way - let's continue to keep in touch”
Possible motto for balance of the year? “Stay Present, Stay Focused, Stay With It”
